Born in 1999 in Geneva, Sarah-Leeloo Brulhart is an illustrator and ceramist. In 2019 she earned her Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in ceramics in Vevey, where her work received the Swiss Céramique Prize for the best practical work, and then trained in comic books and illustration at the Geneva School of Comic Books and Illustration (ESBDI). She graduated in 2022 and received the SCAA Prize the same year for her album “Les étoiles m’ont amené jusqu’à vous”. She is now completing a Bachelor’s in Visual Arts at EDHEA (the Valais School of Design and Art) in Sierre.
Her poetic, story-driven world draws on science fiction, cinema and the observation of living things. But beyond creating, it is passing on her knowledge that now gives her path its full meaning, and she has chosen to make it her profession. She teaches ceramics to adults at the Satellite association and, at the Rilke Foundation, welcomes visitors and helps them discover the museum. These experiences taught her to build on each person’s wishes and to suggest another way forward when a student loses heart. Her conviction: art is a wonderful way to express oneself, gain self-confidence and open up to the world.
Patient and attentive, Sarah-Leeloo supports children and teenagers with kindness, in a setting that is both structured and inspiring. She adapts to each student’s level: she guides beginners step by step and helps more experienced students take their projects further. She alternates short technical exercises with each student’s personal project, from the first sketch to the finished page: inventing a character, building a story in a few panels or bringing a manga world to life. Every student can thus progress technically while keeping the space they need to develop their own creativity.
