Program
Each skill described below is taught in the context of a performance staged during the week, allowing the children to put into practice what they have learned.

Children will learn the essential vocal techniques for singing in musicals. These include projection, breath control and emotional interpretation. Each pupil will explore these technical aspects to help them make the songs their own and build their confidence on stage.
Theatre and Improvisation
Children will be introduced to the art of improvisation, learning how to create spontaneous scenes, develop their stage presence and interact with their team-mates with ease and creativity.
Dance
The basics of dance will be taught to enrich the children's overall performance. They will discover movements and choreographies that will integrate harmoniously into the final project, combining the different disciplines.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I register my child for the course and what are the payment terms?
To register, click on the registration button at the top of the page and fill in our form. You will then receive a confirmation email and an invoice within 5 days. Payment, which is necessary to confirm your place, will guarantee your child's adventure. If you register at the last minute, we will send you the invoice as soon as possible and ask you to pay on receipt.
How big are the groups?
We limit our groups to 10-14 students to ensure personalised attention and quality learning. This class size is ideal for tailored individual attention, while allowing for a play and enriching interaction between participants, stimulating creativity and personal development.
Is it accessible to beginners?
Yes, our courses are open to everyone, whether your child is a beginner or already has experience of musical theatre, acting or singing. Each participant is encouraged to explore and develop their talents at their own pace, in a caring and stimulating environment. We remind our students that even the most advanced were once beginners, and we encourage synergy between beginners and advanced students, strengthening the bonds between them.
How much does it cost and are there any discounts for families?
- Price for a 5-day camp - show included: CHF 490.--.
For these extra-curricular activities, a family can benefit from a sibling discount of 10% from the second child enrolled in our camps. This means a price of CHF 441 for a 5-day week. This applies from the second and subsequent registrations within the same family for a given holiday period.
Logistics and lunch
We ask parents to provide a picnic lunch for their child each day. Careful supervision is provided during the lunch break to ensure that all participants eat and rest properly before resuming their afternoon activities. Participants return home at the end of the day and do not sleep on site; no accommodation is provided.
What measures are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of young people during placements?
The safety and well-being of our students is paramount. We strive to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, with attentive supervision. Regular breaks and constant attention to individual needs ensure a safe and fulfilling experience.
Is insurance cover provided?
Apolline has no insurance to cover participants in its programmes. It is the responsibility of parents and families to ensure that the people they enrol have sufficient cover in case of need.
What insurance is required?
Parents must ensure that participants have accident insurance to cover medical expenses in the event of injury, as well as third-party liability insurance to cover any damage. This insurance is essential to ensure that appropriate care is taken in the event of an incident.
What happens in the event of a medical emergency?
In the event of an emergency, we immediately contact the parents and, if necessary, the emergency services. It is essential that parents provide us with relevant health information about their child before the start of the course, including any allergies or medical conditions that may require special attention.
If you have any further questions about your child's insurance and safety, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. For cancellations made up to one week before the start of the course, we offer a full refund. If the cancellation is made less than a week before the start of the course, we will refund 50% of the total amount. Once the week has started, a refund is only possible in the event of illness, from the 3rd day of absence and on presentation of a medical certificate. This policy aims to offer a degree of flexibility while respecting the organisation of the courses.
Will there be a final performance for parents?
Yes, a performance prepared by the participants will be held on the Friday of the same week, from 5.30pm to 6pm, on site. Parents and family are warmly invited to attend this presentation to celebrate the work and progress of each young actor. It's a moment of sharing and pride for everyone.
How does the course encourage individual creativity?
Our programme is designed to awaken and nurture each child's creativity. Through a variety of improvisation exercises, role-playing and character-building, we allow each young person to express themselves freely while learning to value their uniqueness. Personal exploration and the discovery of new forms of expression are at the heart of our teaching.
Can he be in the same group as his friends?
Yes, subject to availability. To ensure that all the young participants are together, we recommend that you register at the same time.
As long as they are registered for the same programme and timetable, and are of the right age to take part, we make sure to place them in the same group so that they can share this experience together. They must both be of the right age to take part. Don't hesitate to tell us what you want when you register!
Is there a trial period or refund if my child doesn't adapt?
There is no trial period for these short one-week courses. Each participant needs to live the full experience to fully discover the activities and get the most out of them. For refunds, see the question on our cancellation policy above.
Is the course open to adults or the whole family?
Our course is exclusively for children aged 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. We do not accept whole families, i.e. children with their parents for example. Brothers and sisters are welcome, however, and even get a 10% sibling discount! The rest of the family is invited on Friday for the show ;)
If you are an adult and would like to learn musical theatre, we invite you to find out about the weekly courses available in your area, see our section below on this subject. These courses are tailored to adults, their level and their objectives.

Education at our holiday camps
Art and passion are at the heart of our teaching approach. We value scenic expression as an essential tool enabling children to explore various aspects of the performing arts, from singing and dancing to acting and interpretation. Our programmes are designed to combine education and enjoyment, offering young artists an enriching experience.
To nurture this passion, we promote an artistic freedom that allows each student to explore his or her potential while following a supervised structure. This framework helps each student acquire the technical skills he or she needs, according to their current level. This learning encourages their development and commitment throughout their school career.
Our workshops encourage the development of creativity, stage presence and self-confidence, while introducing young artists to fundamental concepts such as rhythm, diction and synchronisation. Working in a group helps to build cohesion and mutual support, values that are essential in both education and family life.
As well as techniques, our courses encourage group work and exchanges, allowing everyone to draw inspiration and make progress in a caring atmosphere. More than just a leisure activity, our programmes offer a unique learning opportunity, combining artistic training with personal development. We aim to create an environment that stimulates education and meets the expectations of families concerned about the well-being and academic progress of their children.
What activities can I do during the school holidays?
School holidays are the perfect opportunity to discover new activities, have fun and learn in a fun and enriching environment. There are plenty of ways to spend the weeks off, from practising a sport to exploring the world of art, from mountain adventures in a chalet to therapeutic and artistic courses. Here's an overview of the most popular categories.
Sports
Sporting activities are a great way to keep active on holiday. From team sports such as football and basketball to more individual programmes such as climbing, tennis and swimming, there are plenty of options for those who like to get moving. Multi-sports camp weeks give you the chance to discover several disciplines and learn about a variety of sports in a dynamic and stimulating environment. The fun is always there, with activities supervised by passionate professionals.
Arts
Holidays are the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of art. Art courses allow you to explore different media, from painting and sculpture to collage and photography. These programmes offer exceptional creative freedom and the chance to discover new techniques. The workshops are designed to encourage personal expression and the pleasure of creating in a fun and inspiring atmosphere.
Winter
When winter comes, the mountain offers are very popular. Skiing and snowboarding camps give you the chance to enjoy the pleasures of the slopes while improving your technique. In an idyllic setting, you can stay in a chalet and enjoy the snowy landscape between two sessions on the slopes. Most camps include on-site accommodation, so you can get the most out of your winter adventure by spending the night in warm, friendly surroundings. At the same time, activities such as tobogganing, snowshoe trekking and evenings spent by the fire provide unforgettable moments. Winter multi-activity courses give you the chance to try out different sporting disciplines while enjoying the fresh mountain air.
Courses and Therapy
Some camps offer therapeutic programmes, such as equitherapy, which helps develop self-confidence and communication skills through contact with horses. Other programmes incorporate theatre as a tool for self-expression and personal development, offering a space to channel emotions and gain confidence on stage. These courses are often supervised by health professionals, such as psychologists or therapists, to provide support tailored to the needs of children looking for a programme that combines fun and therapy. By combining art, sport and well-being, these specific weeks help to promote personal development in a caring and enriching environment.
Theatre and musical comedy
Theatre is a popular activity during the holidays, particularly through Apolline's theatre and musical comedy courses. These programmes offer an immersion into the world of show business, combining singing, dancing and stage performance. They are a great way to build self-confidence and experience a rewarding collective adventure. With performances at the end of the week, participants can showcase their talents and share their passion for the stage.
Adventure and nature
For those with a taste for adventure, nature-based courses are an excellent option. From building huts to hiking and orienteering, these activities are a fun way to discover the environment. Some camps also offer introductory programmes in wilderness survival, providing a unique and fun way to learn. Weeks spent outdoors are a great way to disconnect from everyday life and enjoy the benefits of the great outdoors.
Whether you want to discover a new passion, have fun with friends or take on a sporting challenge, there are plenty of ways to spend your holiday in a rewarding and dynamic way. With so many options, everyone can find the activity that suits them best and enjoy unforgettable weeks of fun and discovery.
How do you choose sides?
Choosing the right holiday camp may seem complex, but by taking certain essential criteria into account, it's possible to find the ideal option. Here are three points to consider to make the right choice.
1. The type of programme on offer
The first criterion to assess is the nature of the activities on offer. Some camps focus on sports, such as climbing, mountain walks or water activities, while others give priority to the arts, with creative workshops, theatre and shows at the end of the stay. There are also school camps offering support for children during the holidays.
Multi-activity weeks give you the chance to try out several disciplines and enjoy a varied programme. Make sure you choose a camp that matches your child's interests and allows them to develop to the full.
2. The setting and accommodation
The camp location plays a crucial role in the overall experience. Some camps take place in the great outdoors, in a comfortable chalet offering a mountain setting ideal for outdoor activities. Others are located in town, close to a school or cultural centre offering easy access to workshops and artistic spaces.
Residential camps often offer accommodation on site, with meals provided morning, noon and night. Those that do not offer accommodation generally provide catering for participants. It is therefore important to check these details before registering.
3. Dates and accessibility
Check the dates of the camp and make sure they match availability. Some camps take place during specific periods such as the summer, while others offer several sessions throughout the year. Accessibility is also a key factor: some camps take place in isolated locations, requiring special logistical arrangements.
If you're looking for a camp in the Pully area, for example, it's worth checking whether there are local options or whether transport is organised. The possibility of choosing a themed workshop or a specific activity can also influence the final choice.
By taking these criteria into account, you'll be able to choose a holiday camp that perfectly matches your expectations and needs, guaranteeing an enriching and memorable few weeks.
How do you organise your holiday camp?
Here's how to organise your child's or teenager's next holiday:
- Choose the right course for your child. All our courses are available online and are designed for children and teenagers. They are organised in every canton of French-speaking Switzerland: Geneva, Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Valais and Jura, in the towns of Geneva, Lausanne, Morges, Yverdon, Montreux, Sion, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Vevey and Nyon.
- Choose the period: autumn, winter, spring or summer? With the exception of the Christmas holidays, your children can enjoy an activity with us during every major extra-curricular holiday period!
- At Apolline, we remind you that no accommodation is provided and that participants do not sleep on site.
During what period?
Holiday camps are organised throughout the school year, offering parents an ideal way to keep their kids occupied during the academic breaks. Each period has its own specific features and offers a variety of programmes.
Relâches
In the canton of Vaud, school breaks are a welcome break between two terms. Often devoted to winter sports, weather permitting, they are also an opportunity to take part in artistic workshops, shows or indoor sports activities.
Carnival holidays
In the cantons of Fribourg and Valais, this is often in February and is marked by carnival festivities and fun activities. Like the Relâches, they are often the perfect time for winter sports. Creative workshops, sports matinees and costumed shows are just some of the options to keep you busy during this period.
Holidays from 1 March
In Neuchâtel, these holidays are an opportunity to explore new activities. Parents have plenty of options for keeping the kids busy, whether in the mountains or in town.
Easter holidays
The Easter holidays in Switzerland herald the return of fine weather. It's a great time for outdoor activities and creative workshops. The mornings can be devoted to shows, multi-activity programmes or sports introductions, such as climbing or football.
Summer holidays
With several weeks off work, summer is the ideal time to take part in a camp. Some offer chalet accommodation, combining sports activities, creative workshops and end-of-session shows. The possibilities are many and varied.
Autumn/October holidays
The October holidays are an opportunity to take part in in-school workshops or online courses. Activities can include theatre matinees, artistic explorations or sports sessions.
Christmas holidays
This festive period is perfect for themed workshops and end-of-year shows. Some camps offer a mountain setting with a chalet stay, combining winter activities with creative moments. At Apolline, we do not offer any activities during the Christmas period.
